Strengthening Mental Health Outreach for Community

The 3-day training on “Motivational Counseling” has been successfully completed!
H.A.C.C would like to thank the outreach workers (OWs) and the partner organizations MHC and MHSS in Kampong Cham, Takeo, Sihanoukville, and Battambang provinces for facilitating the participation of the OWs in the training.

Special thanks to TPO Cambodia for the training, YKP and BC Network for the coordination, and the French Embassy for providing financial support for the implementation of the project, including this training.

As a result of the 3-day training, we noticed that there was full and active participation, with attentive listening, sharing, and building trust between the participants and the facilitators. The participants gained basic knowledge in performing the work of outreach regarding mental health and motivating the members of the community.

As the next step, we must continue to work together to share the knowledge we have gained, which will be useful in motivating and helping community members with mental health problems in communities. We will keep in touch with each other to continue implementing the project activities.
