On 28–29 January 2026, the Health Action Coordinating Committee (HACC) organized community forums to raise awareness and improve knowledge on HIV prevention, care, and treatment. The forums also shared information on social protection, gender-based violence (GBV), stigma and discrimination reduction, and how communities can better access HIV and related services.
First Forum: 28 January 2026 – Sangkat Prek Preah Sdach
Second Forum: 29 January 2026 – Sangkat Svay Por, Battambang Province
These commune-level forums brought together commune councils, village chiefs, village health support groups, people living with HIV (PLHIV), and key populations (KPs). The activities provided space for open discussion and active community participation to identify local solutions for HIV response.
Using a holistic and inclusive approach, the forums encouraged commune councils to take more active roles in HIV interventions and promoted inclusive participation to reduce stigma and discrimination at community level. By linking HIV prevention, treatment, care, and social support, the forums strengthened coordination among stakeholders and empowered FoNPAM and DFoNPAM to support people-centered HIV services at the commune level.
Total participants: 111 people
This activity is supported by the National Center for HIV/AIDS,Dermatology and STD, Cambodia under the Community System Strengthening (CSS) project funded by the Global Fund.
