In an ongoing effort to strengthen our response to HIV/AIDS, the Health Action Coordinating Committee (HACC), in collaboration with local health departments, recently held two significant meetings aimed at enhancing cooperation with entertainment establishment owners and stakeholders. The meetings were held in Battambang and Siem Reap Province on July 25 and 26, 2024, respectively.
Participants included representatives from the National AIDS Authority (NAA), Provincial Administration, Provincial Health Department, Provincial AIDS Committee (PAC), Provincial AIDS Secretariat, Department of Tourism, Department of Social Affairs, Department of Labor, Municipality, Sangkat, Referral Hospital, Provincial Hall, Provincial Police Commissioner, OD, partner organizations, service providers, and communities as key populations (KPs) came together to discuss strategies for improving HIV prevention programs among high-risk groups.
These events were crucial for increasing knowledge, understanding, and cooperation among all stakeholders involved in the HIV/AIDS response. By bringing together partner organizations, stakeholders, service providers, and communities, we aim to effectively tackle the challenges and enhance our efforts in combating HIV/AIDS. The meeting was funded by the Global Fund (GF), coordinated by HACC.
