Cambodia NCD Alliance joined the global movement for the Global Week for Action on NCDs 2026, standing alongside the NCD Alliance and partners around the world to call for stronger leadership and action on noncommunicable diseases (NCDs).
From 31 August to 4 September 2026, organizations and advocates around the world came together for the Global Week for Action on NCDs 2026, under the campaign theme “Time to Lead” and the call to turn commitments into action and results.
As part of this global campaign, the Cambodia NCD Alliance, with Health Action Coordinating Committee (HACC) serving as its Secretariat, participated in the advocacy effort by bringing the global campaign message to the Cambodian context and raising awareness of the urgent need for stronger action on NCDs.
Through campaign communications and an advocacy video, the Cambodia NCD Alliance highlighted several key priorities for NCD action in Cambodia, including increasing investment in NCD prevention and control, strengthening primary healthcare services, ensuring access to affordable medicines and healthcare, protecting people from tobacco and other risk factors, and strengthening collaboration among government, communities, civil society and relevant partners.
The Alliance also adapted key campaign messages and materials into Khmer, helping make the global advocacy campaign more accessible to Cambodian audiences and amplifying Cambodia’s voice within the global NCD movement.

The participation reflects the commitment of the Cambodia NCD Alliance and its members, coordinated through its Secretariat, HACC, to stand together with the global NCD community and contribute to collective efforts to prevent and control NCDs.
