On March 25, 2025, HACC. successfully held its 94th Quarterly Membership and at the Sunway Hotel, Phnom Penh.
The meeting included key discussions on the Ministry of Health’s achievements in 2024 and the 2025 goals of the Ministry of Health, sharing on financial development and challenges of fund for project implementation, especially regarding USAID, introducing the Action4Diabetes program, and sharing on the 4th Global Forum on NCD in Kigali, Rwanda.
For the national policy towards universal health coverage, the government has set clear targets that by 2035, at least 80% of the population will be covered by the social health protection system, covering at least 80% of essential health services, and reducing out-of-pocket expenditure on health care to below 35% of total health expenditure.
Disease prevention and control are on track to achieve national and global goals such as eliminating malaria by 2025 and ending HIV and tuberculosis by 2030.
The Health Strategic Plan 2025-2033 is a roadmap that focuses on reducing maternal mortality and prevent and control non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cancer and chronic respiratory diseases.
As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening Cambodia’s health sector, H.A.C.C. continues to provide a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing and advocacy among NGOs and stakeholders. The next membership meeting is scheduled for June 2025.
