Wednesday, 14 August 2024: Coordinated by UNAIDS and UNFPA in Cambodia, HACC with FoNPAMs and DFoNPAMs, welcomed a Lao delegation to Cambodia to learn about the Community-Led Monitoring (CLM) implementation in Cambodia.
Mr. Soeum Sophal, HACC’s FoNPAM Officer presented the process of implementation of #CLM such as developing data collection tools and collecting data, compiling the data and sharing the results with relevant partners to solve problems for the community.
The special feature of this CLM is that the CLM is implemented by the community itself, while the relevant partners (NGOs and government institutions) only act as technical assistance and observers.
The Lao delegation praised HACC serving as the secretariat of #FoNPAMs and #DFoNPAMs in successful implementation of CLM. The delegate requested documents from HACC to serve as references and for additional communication between the two countries.
The welcoming meeting was held at the FHI360 office and was attended by participants from the FHI360, UNAID, CDC, WHO, HACC, FoNPAM, and DFoNPAM.
This is the second time that Cambodia has welcomed an international delegation to visit CLM in Cambodia. First, Nepal delegation visited Cambodia in June 2024.
