The HACC. organized a two-day workshop to develop an action plan for community engagement in HIV/AIDS programs for the community networks of FoNPAMs and DFoNPAMs.
The workshop aimed to review past, ongoing, and planned activities to prioritize actions in line with the Engaging PLHIV and KP Communities in the HIV Response 2023-2027 strategic plan. The four key strategies include: (1) Community Empowerment, (2) Collaborative Action, (3) Advocacy, and (4) Capacity Building.
Held on March 17-18, 2025, at the Sunway Hotel, the workshop built upon the Strategic Plan, which was launched in 2022 at the Cambodiana Hotel, Phnom Penh.
This plan contributes to national efforts to end AIDS by strengthening dialogue and cooperation between PLHIV-KP groups and duty bearers. By working together, they aim to improve access to, delivery of, and quality of services for PLHIV and KP, thereby meeting the prevention, treatment, and care targets of the national HIV response.
The workshop was funded by GFATM, and DFAT UNAIDS Cambodia.
