Two different community forums were organized by the DFoNPAM in Kampong Thom and Sihanouk provinces on 3 and 9 December 2024 respectively.
The purpose of the forums was to promote awareness of HIV response programs and related services such as social protection, stigma and gender-based violence among people living with HIV and Key Populations (PLHIV and KPs).
The two forums were attended by approximately 100 commune/sangkat councilors and community members who actively participated in discussions to identify the root causes of problems in the community and find solutions to each problem.
The two forums are part of the Community System Strengthening Project, which supports and helps community representatives to organize discussions between local authorities and community members to solve various problems in the community, especially the problems faced by PLHIVs and KPs.
The forums are also part of empowering communities to lead as well.
