On 22nd, September 2023, HACC organized the 89 Quarterly Member Meeting for a full day at Phnom Penh Hotel. The meeting is funded by SIDA (NewGen project) and Global Fund. The purpose of the meeting is to share and discuss particular topics related to MCH/SRH, Nutrition, CD, NCDs and HSS. Before going to the detail agenda, Mr. Tim Vora, Executive Director of HACC brief to all participants on key achievements made in this quarter as below: Representative of HACC, joined the discussion with other NGO networks and H.E Preab Kol Minister attached to the Prime Minister on the proposed of improving partnership with NGO and the new government. In addition, HACC also joined with many platforms related with NCD including the leadership workshop of cancer care in Cambodia organized by the C/Can and organized the Global Week of Action on NCDs. For the next quarter, HACC is preparing to organize a meeting with the new Minister of Health to welcome the new Minister and introduce the HACC as a network of NGOs and CBO in the health sector to the Minister. HACC and non-health NGO networks are also planning to meet the new Prime Minister, which is planned on 12, December 2023. Next, HACC will update about the upcoming cervix immunization campaign to be organized by the NIP for all young girls at the age of 9, both at school and the community.

For the presentation, the meeting had a presentation from the Eye Care Foundation which focuses on Eye surgery, training to health staff center, and mobile eye service in the target province. We also had a presentation for screening TB among immigrants people who return home from Thailand as presented by the IOM organization. Besides Plan International Cambodia also presented about National Guidelines for Nutrition-Sensitive WASH Intervention. It is developed for stakeholders in the Nutrition, and WASH sectors to provide technical support and guidance in designing, planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating nutrition-sensitive WASH project interventions at national, sub-national and community level. Working on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, CHEC org also presented the project achievement for 12 months starting from July 2022 to August 2023. The project was implemented in Kampot, Kompong Chhang, Kompng Cham, Kandal, and Prey Veng with 8 districts, 79 communes, 62 health centers, and 581 villages. The project focuses on community response, sexual reproductive health and rights, and the elimination of violence in women and girls. Finally, HACC has made the announcement to all NGO members who are interested to be member of HACC Steering Committee for next 3 years 2024 -2026 to apply and join in this election process. HACC would organize the election on December 5, 2023.
